Sometimes I put toothpicks because I like to grab and go. One thing I am grateful for is being brought up in the family that I did. I am lucky to have two strong women in my family: my mom and my grandma. I’ve learned so much from them, how to cook, bake, be independent and live my life. I have two incredible women I can call up and talk for hours about anything and everything.

Now you can share your feast and still keep your pup safe. What I am thankful for are my pups. I am very honored to have them in my life and to afford them. Every time I come home, they are there so excited to see me and their tails are wagging. It’s the best feeling you could ever experience.

7 Days of Thanks 2017: Day 2

Today, I will be making some Chocolate Acorns; they are very easy to make…so let’s get cooking!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 1/2 C chocolate chips
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Milk chocolate hersheys kisses
  • Mini nilla wafer’s

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
  2. Melt 1/2 C of chocolate chips. Once melted transfer into a zip lock bag cutting a corner making a tiny hole.
  3. Pipe a small amount of chocolate on the flat side of the wafer and sticking the flat side of the kiss to the cookie
  4. Set them on the lined sheet and once filled place the sheet in the freezer for about 5 minutes to set.
  5. After the five minutes pipe a small amount on the top of the wafer adding a mini chocolate chip.
  6. Place in the freezer for another five minutes and then serve!

These go so fast during Thanksgiving; luckily they are so easy to make. One thing I am thankful for is my job. Although it may drive me insane sometimes, it allows me to put food on the table, go on trips, spoil my family and dogs and put me through college.

Disneyland Candy Canes 2017!

The famous Disneyland Candy Canes are coming back, if you don’t know why they are so famous and hard to get clock Did You Know: Disneyland Candy Canes! to find out why! If you are interested in getting one of these magical treats here are the dates and places:

images

Candy Palace (Disneyland):

  • November: 24, 29
  • December: 1,4,6,8,11,13,15,18,20,24

trolley_treats_001r.jpg

Trolley Treats (DCA):

  • November: 25, 28
  • December: 2,5,7,9,12,14,16,19,21,25

I suggest getting to the parks early! The better chance to get a wristband and an earlier return time to pick up your candy cane. There is only one wristband per person, two candy canes per guest and your return time will be written on the band. If you do not return at the designated time there is a chance that your candy cane will be up for grabs!

The candy makers only make 3 batches of 40-45 candy canes a day so they will only be available while supplies last! Be sure to check out the history of the candy canes here or in the link above to find out what makes them so magical!
